Meet Megan
I’m Megan, the photographer behind Megan Irene Photography. I'm from Iowa, and I LOVE it here. Des Moines has captured my heart and I hope to never have to leave! My heart is unapologetically for Jesus, and I believe that any "job" can be ministry; though it's tough for me to view something so fun as a job. I also spend my days as a full time middle school teacher.

Photos are a beautiful way to capture moments that are blessings, as well as the fearfully and wonderfully made humans that we are. I want to help capture all that God has made you to be!​ Through photos I aim to create a space in which we can get to know each other, be relaxed, and capture YOU!

I got my start in photography when I discovered a little purple camera on Ebay in elementary school. I loved that thing, but became busy with sports and hadn't picked up a camera again until photography class in high school. Now that I can afford my own gear, I've been so excited to start my small business and photograph your beautiful personality.

Fun Facts About Me
I love Sundays.
Sundays are my favorite for a long list of reasons! I start the day with breakfast and starbucks with my family. Then we head to church, and maybe get some lunch after. My next favorite piece is that I usually don't have much going on, which is rare for me so I savor it!
I love the Cyclones.
Iowa State is my second home (literally right now)! I haven't missed seeing a football game since I was in middle school and knew I wanted attend school there since fifth grade. I'm studying special education and am loving my time on campus! My favorite tradition is anything and everything related to homecoming.
Dogs are my jam, I love them.
I've always had dogs in the house growing up. Currently, at my family's home in Des Moines, I have two Samoyeds, Rudy and Stella. It's almost sad how much I'm wrapped around their paws. Someday I cannot wait to have my own dogs!
